Healing one stitch at a time....
The Puzzling Disorder Project
Healing One Stitch At a TIme.
Passion
The Puzzling Disorder Project, an initiative developed by HGE Designs Co., is dedicated to providing sensory and kinesthetic support for autistic children through innovative and functional solutions. By merging art, therapeutic design, and community engagement, this program seeks to enhance the lives of children and caregivers. Key offerings include functional fashion items such as weighted scarves, vests, and lap pads, as well as sensory-inclusive products like customized sensory kits and portable calming tools. We are working to create a line of subscription boxes for purchase by businesses to help offset the financial burden for families in need.
Independence
Crochet and Knitting Job Development Classes for Caregivers: Our next initiative aims to assist caregivers in hands-on crochet and knitting workshops aimed at teaching marketable skills and exploring their own self-care. These classes will include:
- Technical instruction on crochet and knitting techniques.
- Designing and creating sensory products to support autistic children.
- Guidance on using these skills for entrepreneurial or professional pursuits.
Inclusivity
Expanding the Roman's Room Art Exhibit to New Communities
Roman's Room is more than an art exhibit—it’s a sensory experience and a beacon of inclusivity and advocacy. Rooted in the vision of creating spaces that resonate with autistic individuals and their families, this exhibit has proven to be a powerful tool for community engagement, education, and support. Expanding Roman's Room to other communities will allow more families to benefit from its unique approach to art and sensory integration while fostering awareness and inclusivity at a broader scale.
