Along this journey, this artist took on the role of an advocate. First for her son, then for her community. Over the years she was a Department of Planning Storyteller Ambassador, a member of subgroups for GBRICS, Baltimore City Police Department's CPIC Training and Implementation Subcommittee and The Advisory Stakeholder Group on Autism-Related Needs for Maryland. She recently joined the Mayor's Commision on Disabilities for Baltimore City.

As the Resource Coordinator for Pathfinders for Autism, in 2022 she fielded over 1,200 calls for individuals in desperate need of resources for their loved ones.

All these components contribute daily to the artist within. It is her creative mission to be an advocate for underrepresented communities and to create a method of inclusion for a population often isolated due to their diagnoses and during the journey as caregivers.

She takes pride in disrupting systems and reinventing new social "norms". As the mother of an Autistic son, she has assisted with trainings, volunteered as a community advocate and navigated through medical and educational systems on his behalf.
